It starts with water, pools strategically placed…

What follows lays the foundation for the rest of the journey; Paint is dropped and spread, creating patterns and textures within the pools.  Their outcome is impossible to plan. The process continues as a back and forth of action and reaction, following where the materials are saying to go while incorporating my personal language of marks and patters. The final image stems from an energy that wants to be conveyed with marks inspired by memories and the natural world, followed to completion through the game of process and experimentation.

Noelle’s abstract works transport viewers into ecosystems built up through complex layers, bold colors and varied textures.

As environments are layered, blossoming and emotional, so are the marks and textures she makes while creating these worlds. The challenge is to never be literal but to capture the essence and emotion of what is trying to be uncovered.

Connecting hand-made artwork and branding.

Noelle’s surface pattern design stands alone, utilizing hand-drawn and painted elements to create an array of print products. Noelle has created artwork for beer labels, wine labels, candle labels, sweatshirts, hats, pint glasses and so much more. Her commissions are open and the options are endless.
